COACH PASSENGERS BOOST LOCAL ECONOMY. And finally, give yourselves a pat on the back – according to new findings, published by the Confederation of Passenger Transport, it’s estimated that UK coach passengers spend £5.4 billion per year at tourist destinations and a further £2.3 billion at local shopping and leisure destinations. It’s also estimated that welcoming one coach carrying 49 passengers every day for a year, could bring as much as £1m into a local economy!
