The highly anticipated results of our 2022 holiday questionnaires have given us a fantastic boost, as record levels of success are recorded. Last year, not only did the average number of holiday passengers per coach increase but so too did our customer service scores!
In 2022, you rated our drivers 4.9/5 for their ‘willingness to help’, ‘information provided’, ‘driving skills and safety’ and ‘punctuality and efficiency’, you rated our booking team 4.8/5 for their ‘helpfulness’, ‘ease of booking’ and ‘pre-holiday details’ and you rated our coaches 4.8/5 for their ‘comfort’ and ‘cleanliness’. A whopping 99.7% of holiday customers would book with us again and also recommend us to a friend. We’ve always had a fantastic amount of repeat business, something that we hold very dear. Customers that return time and time again are the biggest compliment a company can have and we’re lucky that the nature of our industry means that many customers are now personally known to us.

The most exciting news for us is that more people are choosing coach holidays with almost 25% of our holiday passengers booking their first Shaws holiday in 2022, an increase of over 5% since 2019. The industry is working hard to promote the benefits of coach travel and it’s great to see that we are starting to see results from this. Travelling by coach is a socially inclusive, economy boosting, congestion reducing, safe, convenient and affordable way to travel and facts from The Confederation of Transport back this up. Did you know that in 2019 there were 23 million visits to tourist attractions by coach, contributing £14 billion to the UK economy and that one full coach could reduce road traffic by 1 mile?
