Monday
Travel to the spa town of Ilkley with a refreshing tea/coffee waiting for you on arrival.
Tuesday
This morning, marvel at the stunning interiors, exquisite Chippendale furniture and award-winning gardens at Harewood House. Then enjoy a free afternoon to stroll into the pretty town of Ilkley where you’ll find some interesting independent shops and cafés, including a branch of the famous Betty’s Tea Room.
Wednesday
Spend the day in the delightful market town of Skipton, with free time to enjoy a canal side stroll, the local shops or perhaps to visit the 900 year old Castle before an interesting cruise along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, with tea/coffee served onboard.
Thursday
Settle down and enjoy today’s train journey betwixt Settle and Carlisle, as the line carves its way through the Dales to the Eden Valley. 72 miles of unspoilt countryside, 14 tunnels and 20 viaducts later, you’ll arrive in the historic city of Carlisle with time to have a spot of lunch before the return journey.

Our homeward journey includes a morning visit to the beautiful RHS gardens at Harlow Carr.
