The whole of the Isle of Wight is designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with miles of wild and beautiful coastline, a lush green heartland and an enchanting rural community almost untouched by urban life. Take in seemingly endless views with a leisurely ride along the dramatic southern coastline with the famous Needles in the distance, contrasting with the tranquility of the inland Downs. At Yarmouth, look out across the Solent towards the yachting haven of Lymington and the distant resort of Bournemouth on the mainland.
Celebrate Christmas early with a fantastic programme of entertainment and festive catering, all put together by the welcoming Trouville Hotel, directly on Sandown’s seafront. There’ll be afternoon treats for you to indulge upon for the first three days but don’t worry, you’ll soon dance the calories away with music in the ballroom every evening. We’ve included visits to some lovely coastal spots along with the option to uncover the island’s military history during a guided museum tour.

Monday
It’s ‘Christmas Eve’ in Sandown so expect tea/coffee and mince pies waiting for you on arrival followed by an evening entertainment in the Ballroom.
Tuesday
Start ‘Christmas Day’ with a leisurely stroll along the seafront before this afternoon’s Christmas Quiz in the lounge bar accompanied by warming tea/coffee/biscuits. This evening there’ll be a wine reception with a special visit from one of Santa’s helpers before a traditional Christmas dinner. Expect music and dancing in the Ballroom to celebrate!
Wednesday
Get out and about on ‘Boxing Day’ at IOW Pearl where beautiful jewellery has been crafted for over 30 years. This stunning cliff-top attraction has wonderful views, especially from the panoramic café. Then to the ancient port of Yarmouth, where you’ll find age old architecture, including a 16th century castle and a restored Victorian pier. There’ll be tea/coffee and Christmas cake in the lounge bar this afternoon before ‘Boxing Day’ dinner and entertainment.
Thursday
Spend ‘New Year’ morning in Cowes where you’ll find local shops lining the pedestrianised High Street and the chance to enjoy fresh sea air along the Esplanade. You may choose to join us at the Wight Military & Heritage Museum where guided tours are conducted by ex-service volunteers who, with their varied experiences and anecdotes, really contribute to the enjoyment of the displays. Tea/coffee and stollen await at the hotel before this evening’s candlelit dinner and ‘New Year’s Eve’ party with dancing, music and entertainment!

Enjoy views across The Solent as we head home.
