Enjoy a late summer break on the English Riviera, staying on Torquay's picturesque headland with direct access to the SW Coastal Path. Much of Devon is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, head inland to enjoy the rolling scenery along the River Dart Valley during a heritage steam journey and enjoy coastal scenes from your hotel and onboard a wildlife spotting River Exe cruise. Spend time at the family run attractions at Dartmoor Otter Sanctuary and Totnes Rare Breeds Farm - with conservation and education at their core we're sure you'll have a heartwarming time here. Tuesday
Visit Ugbrooke House & Gardens - steeped in centuries of history with stunning architecture and landscaping, Ugbrooke has been the Clifford family home for almost 500 years. The Park was designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown and you can see his draft drawings inside the house. This afternoon, spot wildlife amongst stunning natural scenery during a 1.5 hour cruise along the River Exe, with cream tea served on board.
Wednesday
Spend the day as you please - perhaps make the most of the hotel leisure, take a scenic stroll along the SW Coastal Path or use the complimentary taxi service to Torquay Harbour.
Thursday
Learn about the daily life of otters at the Dartmoor Sanctuary and see exotic colours dart through the air in the Butterfly Farm. Next door, board the South Devon Railway for a country ride along the River Dart valley to Totnes. Disembark here and get up close to rare ducks, sheep, goats and even snakes at Totnes Rare Breeds Farm.

Time to head home.
