There's 50 miles of fascinatingly beautiful coastline along Suffolk's eastern border with the North Sea, where long stretches of sand hold so much history and seem to go on forever. Quaint villages and medieval towns are scattered across Suffolk's coast and countryside and offer a delicious choice of independent eateries that'll soon explain why Suffolk is fast becoming known as the 'foodie county'. The mixed landscape of ravaged coastline, thick green woodland and colourful heathland create a wonderful backdrop for touring this quaint little county.
This delightful coach tour gives you the chance to enjoy spring gardens at Helmingham Hall and take in the region's history at Woodbridge Tide Mill and Dunwich Museum. Spend time by the water in Aldeburgh, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Southwold and Dunwich (with lunch on the beach!), and on the water during a relaxing cruise on the Oulton Broads, where wildlife is expected to be in abundance.
Customers love this area, read our reviews: “The fish and chip lunch was excellent ... I had never visited Aldeburgh before and I thought it was stunning ... After this taster, I really want to see more of beautiful Suffolk" and "My friend had never been to that area before and couldn't get over how pretty it was".
Ufford Park Resort, Helmingham Hall, Woodbridge Tide Mill and The Flora Tea Rooms are all winners of a 2023 Travellers’ Choice Award from Tripadvisor – this is only awarded to attractions that are ranked within the top 10% and consistently earn great visitor reviews!
We always recommend taking out adequate holiday insurance, that's why we’ve partnered with SunWorld holiday insurance who can offer single or annual multi-trip cover. Get your free custom quote.

Monday
Lavenham is considered Britain’s best preserved medieval village with colourful timber framed homes and shops lining the narrow streets, pause here before checking into this stylish hotel with tea/coffee.
Tuesday
Spend the morning in Aldeburgh, where pastel-coloured 19th century holiday villas line the prom, creating an attractive backdrop for the pebble beach. This afternoon, visit the Grade I listed garden that surrounds moated Helmingham Hall. The subtle colour combinations throughout the walled kitchen garden, herbaceous borders and parterre complement one another beautifully.
Wednesday
A leisurely morning in the market town of Woodbridge features a fascinating visit to the 800-year-old working Tide Mill, one of only a handful in the world that still produce flour. This afternoon, enjoy time by the sea in Felixstowe with its shingle beach, a redeveloped pier and defensive Martello Towers. Find independent shopping at Beach Street – a unique dining and shopping hotspot housed in upcycled shipping containers. The coach will travel to/from the hotel between these visits for anyone wishing to spend either the morning or afternoon enjoying the surroundings of Ufford Park Resort.
Thursday
Wander around the quintessentially English resort of Southwold with its 623m long pier, prominent lighthouse and colourful beach huts behind the large sandy beach. This afternoon, cruise along the Norfolk/Suffolk border through marshland and pretty villages, listen out for reed warblers and reed buntings.
Friday
Discover Britain's "Atlantis" during our morning visit to Dunwich Museum where we'll uncover the fascinating story of this lost city. A huge storm in the 13th century washed much of this thriving port into the sea, where it remains to this day. There’s fish & chips at the famous, family-run Flora Team Rooms on Dunwich Beach to round off your holiday.
