Our annual visit to the Cornish coastal village of St. Agnes is always a popular choice. The village is not only a World Heritage Site but also an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’ll find no fewer than four unspoilt beaches from which dolphins, sharks and seals have all been spotted - and for fans of Ross Poldark, Winston Graham lived just down the road and used the whole parish as the inspiration for his Poldark series of books, dubbing it ‘Poldark Country’!
"We always enjoy our time at Rosemundy. Good food, friendly, helpful staff." 2021 customer comment.

Wednesday
Travel to the pretty Cornish village of St. Agnes.
Thursday
Spend your morning at leisure before an afternoon visit to ‘one of Britain’s most exotic and exciting gardens’. Lamorran Gardens is a subtropical, Italianate inspired garden with stunning sea views and a unique microclimate supporting diverse and colourful plants from across the world. We’ll offer a stop in St. Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula for anyone who would prefer to spend time enjoying the picturesque harbour here instead.
Friday
Enjoy a scenic tour of the SW today. We’ll stop in Marazion, an ancient market town with castle views of the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount, a soft sandy beach and floral displays throughout the pretty town. Next to Land’s End Landmark to enjoy views of the Atlantic’s crashing waves and to grab a photo next to the iconic signpost. Finish the day in the picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town of St. Ives.
Saturday
Spend the day by the sea, enjoy the hotel surroundings or perhaps wander in to St Agnes.
Sunday
Spend the morning in the maritime town of Falmouth, home to an award-winning Maritime Museum, a leading Art Gallery and Cornwall’s largest fortress – Pendennis Castle. This afternoon, spend time in the three valleys that make up the National Trust’s Glendurgan Gardens. Exotic flowers thrive in the jungle-like lower valley and sun-loving plants bloom on the upper banks that lead down to the unspoilt hamlet of Durgan.
Monday
Visit family-owned Pencarrow House and Gardens this morning. This unique country home on the edge of Bodmin Moor hides secret passageways, eye-following portraits and statues sporting top hats! Outside you’ll find an Iron Age fort, a stunning summer display in the Memorial Garden, a grotto, a sunken Italian Garden and circular walks to enjoy.
