Caernarfon lies on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, enjoying tranquil views across the water to the Isle of Anglesey. Crowned a UNESCO World Heritage site, this popular town thrives on history and heritage and is the ideal base to experience some of Snowdonia's most spectacular scenery. The mighty 13th century castle, surrounded by sailing boats bobbing on the calm waters, dominates the backdrop, whilst narrow streets, tucked away in the town, give you the chance to seek out local products. Snowdonia's dramatic and memorable landscape was formed over millions of years through a combination of volcanic, glacial and tectonic activity. These staggeringly strong natural forces are responsible for the spectacular scenery we enjoy today.
Customers love this area, read our reviews: "I enjoyed all the outings and scenery from the coach", "A great trip through the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia" and "A big thank you for a lovely holiday in Snowdonia".
Bodnant Gardens are winners of a 2023 Travellers’ Choice Award from Tripadvisor – this is only awarded to attractions that are ranked within the top 10% and consistently earn great visitor reviews!
