Head to the popular weekly market in Bridport and hunt out local food, jewellery, antiques, books and much more! This afternoon, ride traditional tramcars on the Seaton Tramway through the glorious Axe Valley. Let the scenery roll by as you pass through two nature reserves within the Axe Estuary.
Thursday
Spend the morning amongst 300 years of horticultural history at Bicton Park’s Grade I listed gardens. Don’t miss the impressive Palm House and the unique Shell House. Unwind during a relaxing afternoon cruise on the River Exe departing from Exmouth Marina. This stretch of water is a wildlife haven where migrating birds often make for magnificent viewing in autumn.
Friday
Enjoy a leisurely morning in Sidmouth before visiting Forde Abbey & Gardens. This former Cistercian Abbey has a rich history and the beautifully landscaped gardens were nominated for Historic Houses ‘Garden of the Year’ in 2019. Expect to find formal herbaceous borders coupled with meandering pathways.
