Sunday
Check in and relax, after a scenic drive to the hotel.
Monday
After a sightseeing stop in the picture-postcard harbour town of Portpatrick we’ll visit Scotland’s most exotic garden. With an almost sub-tropical climate, the Logan Botanic Garden is full of fascinating plants from around the world – and you can let us know later how it compares with the beautiful collections that you’ll see during this afternoon’s visit to the gorgeous gardens that surround the ruins of Castle Kennedy.
Tuesday
Look for the distinctive shape of Ailsa Craig as we make our way along the coast towards Ayr. Visit the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, dedicated to Scotland’s favourite son, and then prepare to be impressed by the magnificence of Culzean Castle.
Wednesday
Travel inland, stopping to look for deer and birds of prey at the Red Deer Range, before a lunchtime break with tranquil loch views at the Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre. This afternoon, learn about local farming traditions during a ‘Kitchen Coos & Ewes’ guided tour on a passenger trailer. Also included is a sheep shearing demonstration and a refreshing cream tea!
