Enjoy our fun-filled preview of Christmas at the popular Queens Hotel, where the nightly entertainment will take you from Christmas Eve all the way through to the New Year! During the day, take a refreshing walk along the prom or a gentle stroll around the picturesque harbour. You might like to visit the Zoo, which is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife or the Pier, which serves as a reminder of the resort’s Victorian past. Perhaps the most interesting building in the town is Oldway, an opulent mansion built in 1874 by Isaac Singer (of the sewing machine family). Apparently some of the features were copied from the Palace of Versailles!

Monday
Travel down to Devon, where a welcoming hot drink and mince pie will be waiting for you! As it’s ‘Christmas Eve’, why not treat yourself to a pre-dinner glass of mulled wine in the bar?
Tuesday
After a leisurely morning, join us for an afternoon outing to nearby Brixham, with its picturesque harbour, returning in time for the chance to take part in a quiz before tonight’s traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings.
Wednesday
Enjoy a friendly atmosphere at Newton Abbot’s outdoor stalls and at their Indoor Market & Food Hall. Then reminisce at the Bygones Museum in Torquay, packed to the rafters with nostalgic British memorabilia in their replica Victorian Street and WWI trench, look out for childhood toys and a foot operated dentist drill! This evening, you have the chance to ‘Step into Christmas’ at Torquay’s Babbacombe Theatre with tickets to their fun-filled Christmas Variety Show! *Book & pay at the hotel*
Thursday
To Plymouth to learn all about the Pilgrim Fathers at the Mayflower Museum which underwent a significant refurbishment in 2015, then enjoy some free time in Plymouth when you may wish to visit the newly refurbished TIC and shop on the lowers floor of the Mayflower building. Back at the hotel, there’ll be a farewell cocktail and canapé reception before your ‘New Year’s Eve’ dinner and entertainment.
