Begin with a scenic steam journey on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, through the Leven Valley to the bottom of Lake Windermere. From here, sail across the tranquil lake to Bowness and enjoy a short walk to the enchanting World of Beatrix PotterTM where treasured childhood tales have been magically recreated and a tempting new café awaits.
Wednesday
Enjoy the bustle of Kendal’s weekly market before visiting privately-owned Levens Hall. This stunning Elizabethan House is surrounded by spectacular gardens, which include the world’s oldest topiary garden.
Thursday
Get ready for an adventure on our Ten Lakes Spectacular Tour! Using mini-coaches that can travel off the beaten track, you’ll travel through valleys and villages, seeing waterfalls, famous lakes and panoramic scenery along the way. Your passionate driver/guide will be happy to answer any questions you may have about this mesmerising landscape and there’ll be a lunchtime stop in Keswick.
Friday
We’ll travel through the pretty Yorkshire Dales on our journey home.
