The stunning Wicklow Mountains and National Park are just south of Dublin and on this faraway tour through eastern Ireland you’ll experience the best of the area’s scenery, attractions and of course the country’s lively capital city. One of the must-visit beauty spots in the National Park is Glendalough, in the Valley of the Two Lakes. Spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife has been attracting visitors to this area for thousands of years, and the rich archaeology proves it. Visit Powerscourt Gardens - Voted No.3 in the World’s Top Ten Gardens by National Geographic and owners of the brand new ‘Beyond the Trees Avondale’ attraction which won Tourism & Hospitality Project of the Year in 2022! This spectacular new visitor experience combines a stunning 700 metre Treetop Walk with a 12-storey Viewing Tower offering spectacular views of the Wicklow countryside! Avondale has also been officially recognised as the First Age Friendly Tourist Destination in Ireland with age friendly principles incorporated into the design of Beyond The Trees. Learn about the history of the people that lived in this area from the bog lands at Lullymore Heritage Centre to the 19th century country estate at Avondale House and the Palladian style treasure trove at Russborough House, during interesting tours of this uniquely different attractions.
