This tour has now been and gone but don't worry, we have lots more relaxing holidays to choose from.

From the beautiful beaches of Bude to historic Boscastle and the food capital of Padstow, you’re sure to enjoy our summer holiday along Cornwall’s northern coast!

In 2019 Tintagel Castle completed its landmark project to reconnect the castle to the mainland via its new bridge, recreating (in a much safer way!) the route residents would have taken to the castle hundreds of years ago. Due to the nature of Tintagel the site can be tricky to navigate, but if you can manage it, the climb is well worth it!

Clovelly is a unique, timeless, fishing village, once owned by the Queen of England. The pretty cobbled High Street leads down to the yachts in the deep-blue harbour and an unforgettable beach front. The High Street is steep and unsuitable for wheelchair users but there's plenty to see at the top of the village if you don't fancy the unusual terrain.

Monday

Travel to Cornwall with tea/coffee waiting for you at the hotel.

Tuesday

Spend the morning in picture-postcard Clovelly, the village that has had no motorised access since the 1920’s with goods transported by donkeys and sledges down the steep cobbled street to the working harbour. There’s plenty to see at the Visitor Centre at the top of the village, including a craft yard, film show and a beautiful walled Victorian Garden. This afternoon brings free time in Bude, where you’ll find lovely beaches and plenty of places to tuck into a cream tea or an ice cream.

Wednesday

Experience Tintagel Castle the way its medieval inhabitants once did, using the new footbridge that has united the mainland and the headland for the first time in over 500 years! Today, we’ll also take you to the typical, quaint Cornish fishing village of Boscastle. We’ll pop back to Bowood in between the two visits for those of you who would like to enjoy free time at the hotel.

Thursday

Experience both the ‘upstairs and downstairs’ life of a country house during our morning at magnificent Lanhydrock House & Gardens before rounding off the week at Padstow. This picturesque port is now one of the county’s most popular resorts and universally famous for its excellent restaurants – Rick Stein opened his first seafood restaurant here back in 1975.
