Spend Christmas on England’s south coast where fresh sea air from The Channel will awaken your senses and ensure you’re in celebratory spirits. A warm welcome from the hotel and a varied programme of entertainment will create a festive atmosphere at one of our favourite hotels – The Burlington. Friday
Take advantage of a relaxing check-in as your bags are taken from reception to your room. There'll be a welcome alcoholic tipple to enjoy with the management team.
Saturday
Spend the morning at leisure in Folkestone town where you might well pick up some last-minute gifts in the studio galleries and quirky shops. We’ve arranged a 2-course lunch back at the hotel to warm up followed by afternoon entertainment before your evening meal.
Sunday
Open your gift from Santa before tucking into a traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Afterwards, as is customary, you may well find yourself snoozing in a quiet spot in the hotel lounge! But for those of you feeling a little more energetic, it’s just a short stroll to the cliff top where you’ll find winding routes down to the sandy beach and panoramic views across to the French coast. Tonight, the hotel will serve a light buffet dinner.
Monday
Create your own 'Canterbury Tales' as we spend Boxing Day morning in the pretty city of Canterbury, on the banks of the River Stour. This historic city is home to England’s first cathedral which is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important resting place for royalty. We’ll return to the hotel for a 2-course lunch with the afternoon yours to enjoy at your leisure.
