Monday
We’ve arranged a warm welcome with tea/coffee and scones.
Tuesday
Start the day at one of Robert Adam masterpieces with a guided tour and lunch at Dumfries House. This pristine 18th century stately home contains an unrivalled collection of Chippendale furniture and is surrounded by intriguing gardens, all part of The Prince's Foundation after being saved by HRH Prince Charles. Back to Troon where the soft sandy beach is ideal for a fresh spring stroll to the bustling harbour or charming independent boutiques and cafés along Ayr Street.
Wednesday
Sail across the Firth of Clyde to The Isle of Arran where we’ve arranged a historical visit to Brodick Castle and Garden. The castle is bursting with baronial treasures and surrounded by an eclectic mix of formal gardens and natural waterfalls. Afterwards, relax during a scenic drive around this beautiful island, taking in the stunning landscape that has given it the nickname ‘Scotland in Miniature’.
Thursday
Spend the morning enjoying your Scottish surroundings. Troon’s esplanade has tranquil views across the water to the Isle of Arran and Aisla Craig as you make your way into town. This afternoon we’ll visit cliff-top Culzean Castle with over 40 buildings and secret follies to discover in the surrounding Country Park. Another of Robert Adam's late 18th century designs, this treasure trove is bursting with artefacts from one of the oldest clans in Scotland.
