Combine the beautiful vast, landscape of Ayrshire with the charming, seaside town of Troon and you have the perfect base for exploring Scotland’s stunning west coast. Sandy shores, towering mountains, domineering castles and grand stately homes dot their way through this region, which provided much inspiration for National Bard, Robert Burns. Take time to enjoy the bustling harbour and independent boutiques and cafés along Ayr Street in Troon - the stroll from the hotel along the esplanade is a lovely way to spend a summer's day. See the colourful blooms at Greenbank Garden and enjoy the beautiful surroundings at two of Robert Adam's stately homes - Culzean Castle and Dumfries House. Explore the region's maritime history in Irvine's unique Harbourside building, take a virtual tour of two of the awesome vessels housed here.

Tuesday
Spend the morning enjoying your Scottish surroundings. Troon’s esplanade has tranquil views across the water to the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig as you make your way into town. This afternoon we’ll visit cliff-top Culzean Castle with over 40 buildings and secret follies to discover in the surrounding Country Park. Designed by Robert Adam in the late 18th century, this treasure trove is bursting with artefacts from one of the oldest clans in Scotland.
Wednesday
Head to Irvine Harbourside to visit the Scottish Maritime Museum where you’ll find a fascinating collection of vessels and personal sea-stories, all housed under a spectacular glass roof! Discover what life would have been like for a 1920's shipyard worker during a unique tenement flat tour. Continue to the peaceful oasis at Greenbank Garden featuring over 3,600 species, all carefully planted with the aim of providing you with inspiration for your own garden.
Thursday
Return to another of Robert Adam’s masterpieces with a guided tour and light lunch at Dumfries House. This pristine 18th century stately home contains an unrivalled collection of Chippendale furniture and is surrounded by intriguing gardens, all part of The Prince's Foundation after being saved by His Majesty King Charles III. Back to Troon where the soft sandy beach is ideal for a summer stroll.
