Watch the boats go by in the picturesque harbour at Wells and uncover its fascinating history. Did you know that in the 1800s Lifeboat Horses were trained to gallop into action at the sound of rocket fire? They would tow a 33ft lifeboat two and a half miles to its launch site at Holkham Gap! Look out for the partly submerged sculpture honouring these brave animals in the quay. Perhaps take a summer stroll along Beach Mile, enjoying views across the marshes and harbour from the raised path.
Since 1846 Hunstanton has been a go-to seaside town, with much of its Victorian charm still visible to this day. The classic fun fair, Esplanade Gardens, Pitch-and-Putt, beach and rock pools - there's plenty to keep you entertained. Don't forget the obligatory fish and chips too!
We're due to arrive in Wells at 12:00 and depart at 14:00, setting down and picking up in Wells Coach Park. We'll arrive in Hunstanton at 14:45 and head home at 17:00, the coach will set down and pick up in Hunstanton Coach Park. There will be a short comfort stop at Dobbies Garden Centre in Kings Lynn on the outward journey - stretch your legs and stock up on your summer garden essentials.
