St. Albans is a real hidden gem and well worth a visit, especially as it's the popular Charter Street Market today. History lovers will be spoilt for choice in a city that is well known for its Roman remains. Head to the site of the third-largest town in Roman Britain at Verulamium Park, just a short walk from the city centre, where the City Walls and outline of the London Gate can still be seen. Discover 1700 years of history during one of the Cathedral's free daily guided tours. As part of a £7 million investment project in 2020 you can now enjoy a visit to the Cathedral's new Welcome Centre, Café and exhibition area.
The coach will arrive at 12:00 and depart at 16:30. The coach will set down / pick up close to the Town Hall on St. Peters Street so you'll be in a great central location ready to start exploring. There will be a short comfort stop on the outward journey.
