On arrival at Windsor Castle there is the chance to enjoy a special 30-minute, private introduction to Queen Elizabeth II’s life at her beloved Royal residence. Windsor remained a constant in her life and served as a stage for the great events of her reign. At the same time, it was a peaceful refuge in which to raise a family; a place to ride horses with children and grandchildren and to enjoy many other private moments that made the Castle her favourite weekend home. You're then free to explore this beautiful, grand Castle at your leisure.
There's free time to enjoy Windsor before your timed Castle entry. The famous, tree-lined, Long Walk is surrounded by Windsor Great Park which is free to enter and offers picture perfect views of the Castle. You’ll encounter formal gardens, freely roaming Red Deer and ancient trees. Look out for Cow Pond and The Valley Gardens too! Click to start planning your free time in Windsor.
The coach is due to arrive at 12:00 for free time before meeting at Windsor Castle at 13:30 ready for our 14:00 introduction, then, explore the castle at leisure before the coach departs at 17:00.
