The 'City of Dreaming Spires' is full of historic buildings and fascinating museum collections. The Ashmolean is home to prehistoric archeology, Renaissance art, Middle Eastern sculptures and Greek coins, and best of all, it's free to enter. The famous Bodleian Library, in the heart of Oxford, host inspiring exhibitions in the Weston Library featuring rare items from the libraries' collections. Don't miss the special exhibition that covers the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb called Tutankhamun: Excavating the Archive which is due to appear from April 2022 to Feb 2023.

Shopping in Oxford is now better than ever following the re-development of Westgate Shopping Centre. This modern, stylish shopping complex is home to John Lewis, Next and hundreds more, it even has its own Roof Terrace with unique views across the city. For something a bit different head to the Historic Covered Market which welcomes visitors with an array of colours and aromas, and has been doing so since the 1770s!
