Enjoy a stroll along the stylish Waterfront at Ipswich – and maybe take a coffee at one of the many cafés or restaurants whilst watching the boats at anchor in the Marina – before stepping on board the ‘Orwell Lady’ for our very popular 3.5 hour cruise on the River Orwell – voted one of the most beautiful and historic rivers in England. Immerse yourself in pretty Suffolk countryside as ever-changing river scenes pass you by. You’ll navigate lock gates, pass under the stunning Orwell Bridge, cruise through areas of outstanding natural beauty and pass the Pin Mill to enter the Stour Estuary to see (weather permitting) the UK’s largest container port at Felixstowe and historic Harwich. Afternoon tea will be served during the cruise as you absorb history and tales from the Skipper's interesting commentary.
"Well planned out, and excellent service all day from our driver Jason. The boat trip itself was very enjoyable, and the afternoon tea served onboard exceptional" 2022 customer comment.
