Traditional chalet style market stalls will line Long Row and Smithy Row, offering up some unique gifts and crafts, along with speciality food to tickle your tastebuds! In Old Market Square you'll find Nottingham Winter Wonderland featuring a towering 60ft Christmas tree, the giant 60m 'Wheel of Nottingham' (the largest transportable wheel in the UK!), an ice bar, a sky skate ice path and so much more! Click here to find out more about the Wonderland attractions.

Nottingham's compact city centre is largely pedestrianised, making it the perfect destination for strolling, sightseeing and shopping. The Victoria Centre is home to over 120 stores including John Lewis, Next and House of Fraser. For a more intimate shopping experience head to The Exchange - the city's oldest shopping arcade with 17 exclusive stores occupying a spot within this Grade II listed building. Support start-ups and independents in the Creative Quarter where you'll find unusual and quirky gifts along with an flourishing street food culture and great coffee.

Consider a visit to Nottingham Castle who swung open their gates in June last year after an exciting £30m revamp! The caves are back open and the new Visitor Centre is bursting with souvenirs to complete your visit. You'll also find a refurbished Art Gallery, a new immersive experience taking you back to medieval Nottingham and freshly prepared food in the Terrace Café.

There's so much to enjoy in Nottingham, click Visit Nottinghamshire to start planning your day.
