For the ultimate shopping experience head to centre:mk where you'll find 1000s of your favourite brands under one roof and a whole host of eateries. Head to the centre:mk website for an up to date list of stores and a store map. And if that's not enough shopping ... Midsummer Place, locally known as 'The Fashion Quarter' offers 50 more stores to choose from!
Perhaps schedule in a stop at The Hub - a vibrant restaurant, café and leisure quarter in the heart of MK where work on an exciting upgrade to this lively area started in July '22. Or if you're feeling adventurous head over to Xscape, a year-round leisure and entertainment destination offering everything from skiing to indoor skydiving!
MK Gallery is a new building with five gallery spaces hosting changing exhibitions and offering stunning views of Campbell Park from The Sky Room. Campbell Park itself makes for a pleasant walk, it stretches from the theatre right down to the Grand Union Canal.
In 2022, as part of the Jubilee celebrations, Milton Keynes was granted city status. MK had to demonstrate their royal links and cultural heritage to win the accolade stating that they are "the pinnacle of the national postwar planning movement". According to The Guardian MK boasts 27 conservation areas, 50 scheduled monuments, 1100 listed buildings and 270 pieces of public art.
We're due to arrive in Milton Keynes at 12:30 and depart at approximately 17:15.
Entry fees may apply and pre-booking may be required at the suggested attractions. Please check with the venues before departure.
