Take a look around the historically important county town of Kent, on the River Medway.
There's open air shopping at Fremlin Walk - considered to be the retail centre of Maidstone and home to all your favourite brands. Head to The Royal Star Arcade for exclusive shopping or Week Street for pedestrianised shopping amongst major retailers and independents. Lockmeadow Market is now open until 1pm, it's about a 7 minute walk across The Medway from our drop off point and sells everything from baked goods to bric-a-brac.
Take a break from shopping in the calm surroundings of Brenchley Gardens or stroll along the Medway Towpath where you'll find a new River Park Nature Trail. Or perhaps visit Maidstone's fascinating (and free to enter) Museum which is scheduled to open Monday-Saturdays in high season, but please check their opening hours before visiting.

We're due to arrive at 12:00 and we'll depart at 17:00, we'll set down on Mill Street, close to the Tourist Information Centre.
