Don't miss another Great Day Out. Join our eNews to make sure you're the first to hear about our latest releases.
For the first time ever Kew's annual Orchid Festival will celebrate the beauty and biodiversity of an African nation, as the stunning floral and fauna of Cameroon bursts into colour inside the Prince of Wales Conservatory. This vibrant celebration of Cameroon's varied landscape and native wildlife features stunning horticultural displays and larger-than-life living sculptures that have been hand-crafted by an expert team. Expect to encounter towering giraffe sculptures, a troop of gorillas, roaring lions and wallowing hippos.
Entry is also included to Kew's unique When Flowers Dream exhibition that's here until March 2023 only and the International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibition. When Flowers Dream is a haven of pastel coloured artwork made from everyday materials such as sugar and candy creating an imaginary landscape filled with foods of the future. IGPOTY launches its UK tour at Kew in February and will feature a curated selection of higher placed winning photographs from 2022, including the special 'Captured at Kew' prints - here until Sunday 5th March only, don't miss it.
And if that's not enough, you'll find an 18m high Treetop Walkway, a towering interactive sculpture named 'Hive' that captures the life of the honeybee, 14,000 trees in the Arboretum including Giant redwoods and mighty oaks, 130 species in the Bamboo Garden (with its own traditional Japanese Minka House), a dramatic Rock Garden, 10,000 plants in the Temperate House, Arctic blooms in the Alpine House, an indoor rainforest in The Palm House, free daily talks and endless trails to explore ... the list goes on!
We're due to arrive at 12:00 and depart at 16:15, giving you a full afternoon to enjoy this colourful fiesta. The coach will set down/pick up at Elizabeth Gate.
Please check Kew's website for any specific attractions that might require pre-booking.
