Kew’s 29th annual Orchid Festival draws inspiration from the unique flora and fauna of Peru. From beaches and rainforests to deserts and mountains, Peru offers a varied landscape which is home to over 3000 species of orchid, and an incredible array of wildlife. See this biodiverse country reflected in an extravaganza of living floral art installations, including alpacas and flamingos, created by Kew’s talented team of horticulturists who'll transform the Princess of Wales Conservatory into a colourful celebration, which never fails to brighten up the winter months. Find out more.
Your ticket includes access to Kew Gardens! You'll find an 18m high Treetop Walkway, a towering interactive sculpture named 'Hive' that captures the life of the honeybee, 14,000 trees in the Arboretum including Giant redwoods and mighty oaks, 130 species in the Bamboo Garden (with its own traditional Japanese Minka House), a dramatic Rock Garden, 10,000 plants in the Temperate House, Arctic blooms in the Alpine House, an indoor rainforest in The Palm House, free daily talks and endless trails to explore ... the list goes on! Your ticket also includes access to three exhibitions 'Expressions in Blue' (a major solo exhibition of monumental ceramics), 'Botanical Blues' (unique botanical art) and 'Beyond the Gardens' (a unique insight into Kew's often unseen collections). Discover it all.
The coach is due to arrive at 12:00 and depart at 16:15, giving you a full afternoon to enjoy this colourful fiesta. The coach will set down/pick up at Elizabeth Gate. There will be a short services comfort stop on the outward journey. Please check Kew's website for any specific attractions that might require pre-booking. Please note that the child price applies to those aged 4-15.
