Spend a day in picturesque Brontë Country with a return heritage train journey on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, known affectionately as ‘The Railway Children Line’. This scenic line was thrust into the limelight in the 1970s when Lionel Jeffries selected the railway to be the backdrop for his adaption of E. Nesbit’s “The Railway Children”. More recently, the railway has been used as filming locations for Peaky Blinders and All Creatures Great and Small. You’ll also have time to explore the village of Haworth, home to the famous Brontë sisters, where Wuthering Heights characters Cathy and Heathcliff were born and where Jane Eyre came to life.

The coach is due to arrive in Haworth at 11:30 and we'll depart for Oxenhope Station at 14:30. The train to Keighley departs at 15:15, arriving back into Oxenhope at 16:25. We'll head home at 17:00. There will be a 30 minute services comfort stop on the outward and return journeys.

You might also like our 3* Lake District - Rail & Sail (30 Sep-4 Oct) or Christmas Lunch at Norfolk's Bure Valley Railway on Fri 29 Nov.
