See the gardens and courtyards at Hampton Court Palace erupt with colour, as thousands of petals are expected to bloom for their annual Tulip Festival - recognised as Britain’s Largest and Greatest Tulip Heritage Garden at the prestigious World Tulip Summit in 2024! The festival was first held in spring 2021, it was declared a huge success and has been a firm customer favourite ever since. Expect to see floral displays pouring from the Tudor wine fountain and vintage horse carts, floating tulip bowls in the Great Fountain, and rare varieties in the Lower Orangery. Special trails guide visitors around the stunning floral displays throughout 60 acres of royal riverside gardens, revealing the history of the tulips, believed to date back to Queen Mary II in the 1600s. The Palace's expert gardening team will be on hand to provide tips and information to keen gardeners throughout the day.
Palace entry is included so take time to explore this magnificent Tudor Court. Walk in the footsteps of Henry VIII through the Haunted Gallery, see a sparkling recreation of his crown, transport yourself back to Tudor feasting in the Kitchens and much more! Find out more about this fascinating and extensive attraction.
We're due to arrive at 12:30 and depart at 16:45 giving you a full afternoon to soak up this colourful atmosphere. There will be a short comfort stop on the outward and return journeys. Got a question? Ask our friendly team.
