Explore the slumbering villages and pastoral scenes immortalised by Constable and Gainsborough. We’ll meet our highly knowledgeable guide in Long Melford over morning refreshments before our coach tour through beautiful rolling landscapes dotted with quintessentially English thatched villages and the great cloth towns of medieval Suffolk, including Clare and Cavendish. Back to Long Melford for a two-course choice lunch and time to stretch your legs along the lengthy High Street of this engaging Suffolk village. Round off a great day in Lavenham. Looming above the horizon the tower of St. Peter and St. Paul heralds our arrival in this immaculately kept town, full of crooked and timbered weavers' cottages. Enjoy a gentle walking tour followed by free time to browse and buy afternoon refreshments before we head home.
